Avoid Delays in Your Billing Process with an Effective Distributed Billing Tool

It can be a hurdle when the Back Office has to wait for attorneys to review the pre-bill reports, searching for any errors in the billing. And once the corrections have been reported, the Back Office then has to retrieve the reported changes from the attorney and update the pending bills in the Time and Billing module. This is an unnecessary strain on the Back Office and needlessly duplicates work.

With PerfectLaw’s Distributed Billing module, pre-bill reports are profiled directly to the billing attorney’s matters where the pending bills may be reviewed and edited by the attorney’s themselves, allowing the Back Office to carry on with their other duties.

Quickly Reference Time and Fee Analysis Screens

Quickly reviewing pie charts to reference the hours worked and fees billed over time has been a popular AIM feature for many years.  However, pie charts have limitations. For this reason, in the latest version of AIM, visualization may be instantly swapped back and forth between pie charts (for proportions) and bar graphs (for relative value).

PerfectLaw’s iSlips Gets an Important Update

iSlips 2.0 Video LinkiSlips 2.0 is the latest release of PerfectLaw’s popular, mobile, time-keeping app. With this latest version, users will now have the ability to look up client and matter information from a single field. Known as “PerfectLaw Quick Search,” users may enter text or numerical characters and quickly pare down the list to the desired client or matter. One Automated Email with All of the Client’s Bills

envelope icon representing emailsStarting with Build 106, if a Time & Billing or Account Manager user has multiple bills to be emailed to a single client (a single email address), the software will now create one single email containing all of the bills. This process replaces the old method of having an email created for each individual bill.

This feature will reduce the amount of time spent sending bills and the amount of emails users would potentially have to sift through when searching for sent bills.

PerfectLaw Releases Back Office Version 17

With the latest version of PerfectLaw’s Back Office being released, users will now have greater flexibility to customize their grids, just like AIM users are currently doing in the Front Office.

This new version of the Back Office also comes with more opportunities to export reports to Excel, as well as many other minor fixes which may be read about in our Release Notes.

Easily Emailing Your Documents as PDFs

Email as PDFPerfectLaw’s AIM now offers users the ability to send profiled Microsoft Word documents as PDFs directly from the software.

Available to users on AIM versions 15 and newer, users can now avoid the process of exporting, converting, and re-importing documents in order to make them PDFs. Now, users only need to locate (in its matter) the document they intend to send, right-click, and select “Mail Document as PDF.” Then it’s as simple as selecting the recipient from the list of related contacts, completing your email, and sending it off.

PerfectLaw Releases Latest Update for Front Office with AIM17

AIM17PerfectLaw is excited to announce the official release of AIM version 17. Besides tweaks to improve the general functioning of the software, there are also plenty of new features to make life easier for your firm. To see more, please watch our brief video.

To see your firm’s version of AIM, go to the AIM navigational bar, choose “Help” from the menu, “About…”, and you’ll see the Version at the top of the screen which pops up.

It may be possible for your firm to upgrade from v7 or v15 to v17 through your firm’s maintenance. To find out, request an upgrade, or inquire about any potential fees, please send us an email.
